WELCOME!
We welcome you to Cherrydale United Methodist Church. We are glad you have joined us this morning. Through word, music, fellowship and prayer, we hope you will be spiritually renewed.
  • Everyone please sign the Friendship Folder and include your phone number and/or e-mail address. Be sure to pass it to your neighbor!
  • Prayer Cards are available in the pew rack for prayer concerns. If you would like the concern shared in the worship bulletin, please state that on the prayer card. Place the card in the offering plate or if confidential, please hand it to the pastor.
  • Nursery and Child Care are provided downstairs in Room 100 for children under 4 years of age.

Music Notes: As the work on our pipe organ continues, piano music will highlight our music for worship.  Contact Gwen Frazier or John Morton on the Organ Restoration Committee if you have questions.
We continue to need pledges for the restoration fund. Pledge cards/information on the Edith Bierstein Memorial Organ Fund can be found on the table in the Narthex.  We are making great progress on donations/pledges/contributions being made to the fund which Karin Bierstein has generously established in memory of her mother Edith.  Thank you to everyone who has given/responded to the EBMOF Fund thus far!

Our soloist today is Fran Simms. We welcome John Haugen as our pianist today while Gwen Frazier is away.

Next Sunday, Sept. 12, Join Us For Rally Day! It’s Cherrydale’s annual celebration and includes good food and fellowship. See the attached flyer. Our 10 am worship will continue that day. See the sign-up sheet in the narthex.

Fall Schedule Begins Sept. 19: Our 8:30 worship service (a shorter service where Holy Communion is served every week), 9:30 Sunday School for all ages and our 11 am worship service with our choir begin again.
Our youth also have their Kick-Off Picnic that day. See the flyer for more information.

Miriam Circle asks that we save travel toiletry items we receive on our vacation journeys.
Items will be used at a shelter to help those in need.
Put these items in the red box near the window in the workroom.

StephenMinistry Has a Positive Impact: You may not make a hole like a meteor does when it strikes the earth. You may not give a speech that people will be quoting for years to come. You may not perform some great feat that makes the TV evening news. But you can make an impact by answering God's call to serve. Our Stephen Ministers have an impact on people's lives at times when they really need someone to care. A new training class will begin soon. To find out how you can make an impact through Stephen Ministry, contact the church office.

StephenMinistry is one-on-one Christian confidential caregiving.
Stephen Ministers receive 50 hours of training and participate in monthly
group meetings. StephenMinistry is a nation-wide program. See www.stephenministries.org for more information about this program.
